I do not, those who watch TV but when I went to the old LG and it looks amazing, if I had seen on television. Especially with high-resolution DVD and I'm sure, BluRay (which I will soon) 
The picture looks 3D images, which were a lot of depth images. Black black and true motion TV show characters very clearly, I must say that I have never seen anything like this, it is very different from television. You can increase the relationship that anymore, but it is no longer scaling. I have not used my computer with a TV yet, but will play some movies on my hard drive when I Wireless Cable / USB 
TV is very nice, even if it is disabled, obviously, Lucite frame at the outer edge of the black box, "television image. He did not see at all in the picture, even with the lamp or the sun through the blinds. 
One thing I noticed when the actor says, sometimes you can see the pixels in the mouth, but it's not sticking, as I said, it seems incredible I and HD shows, like Smallville (DVD) is actually a flower as it was withdrawn, etc. better. Yeah, it looks great, but if I had money, I bought a new TV, as I am sure that the most recent of them even more beautiful. In general, I think it was an excellent choice that I'm still happy!

Great LCD HD TV

Spectacular picture that autoadjusts to the ambient light in the room Great sound that autoadjusts down when loud commercials come on. Lots of inputs and lots of adjustments if you are into tweaking "everything." Had just one problem with the set when I first got it. The sound was out of lipsynch on some channels. However, LG sent a tech out to my house to install a software upgrade that eliminated the problem. That was impressive. This is also a very good looking set, even when it is not on. Also, when the set was delivered from Amazon, the delivery men unpacked the TV, attached it to its swivel stand and set it in place for me. They connected it and turned it on to make sure that it was working properly. All that, at no extra charge. I highly recommend this TV.

Better audio than my Samsung.

LG 42LH55 42-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV, Gloss Black. All aspects and setups of this tv were sraight forward and simple.The picture quality and performance is just as crystal as my much more expensive 55 inch six month old Samsung.But the audio output is far superior which i found surprising as i beleived all flat screens speaker systems were barely adequate.

If you play video games or watch sports this is a great tv. The only complainant I have is it only has one type of audio output (optical). Didn't give me a problem because my surround reciever has an optical input. Just had to go buy a cable (about 20 bucks)

Purchased this tv on Dec.14 2009,based on favorable reviews.Easy to set up,disappointed with picture quality compared to our samsung 46 inch hdtv. 

Major problem with this tv, After many hours ,talking to lg support and with comcast cable people who came to my home,I cannot get any signal when I connect the hdmi. lg will not replace the tv. Terrible situation after spending that much money.

I have this TV two days ago, delivery was smooth, also located in the basement of my house (I tip). We unboxed the TV and tune in the set, I looked for any damage to the documents signed. I have Verizon FiOS, we encrypt everything, but the channels of local government. But after hanging the TV on the wall (with screws on the back of the TV was good), QAM channel scanning to open and play with the settings that the weak point. In fact, I used the built-in auto-tuning for this, looks good Damm. Blacks improved, local news (Philadelphia) looked good in HD. dominant color was great, I have a media server and the Ethernet cable connected. I like the interface for my media, I found my Twonky server and was able to play in the short term with Avis and release MKVs. I have a file that can not decode the audio, said that when he started to play the file. I kicked him in the BBC series about the life of 1080p and look good. I have another Panasonic top of the stairs, for some years. The reason for one less star is that the deeper blacks on this set. From his new, that could change in LG. I'm working with a break in DVD, this is not my main TV for 1,000 hours to go fast. I updated the post after the break-in period. I have a light into the room, who appeared on TV. The reflection was enough that he needed to see the light. I had a small LCD TV in the same place, I understood that. Making a table lamp trap needs repair. This is a plasma, and has not 50PK950 anti-reflective (ha). 

TV Widgets are cool, I hope more will come and Yahoo Widgets. Twitter is available, but the book with the addition of the face would be great. 

I offer that Amazon HTIB, remote operations on both devices included. I do not think the remote is universal, so that adding a cable box could be a problem. I do some research, but I'll be using a Harmony remote anyway. So have a great time on TV is worth it, I can not even find a problem with her. After reading all comments, worrying about the black levels and detailed specifications on the websites of others AVS, I can say that this is a nice TV.

Bang for your buck!

Purchased this Plasma 5/15/2010 it arrived within the window provided 5/24/2010. 

Set up was a breeze. Plugged in all the HDMI cables in the back, as well as the CAT5 for the internet connection and a composite cable so I can see my receiver menu on the screen. Also plugged in the coax for OTA reception and the optical audio out connection. Fired it up and was very impressed. I'm not one of those guys that notices or pretends to notice every little picture detail or insignificant imperfection. All I know is that the HD feeds from the antenna look awesome. I'm watching the NBA Finals right now and it's being shown in 720P and it's incredible. 

There are plenty of preset picture settings and 2 Expert Modes that you can set how you want if you don't like any of the presets. I prefer the THX Bright Room personally. I also have an HTPC hooked up via one of the HDMI ports in the back and the TV handles the PC very well. The HD movies played from the PC also look great. 

The internet features are pretty good too. Netflix through the NetCast feature provides a free 30 day trial. You sign up online from a PC then enter a code that the TV provides. You can then add all your movies to the Netflix queue and they show up on the TV. Watched a couple streamed in HD and it's impressive. The YouTube feature is also pretty cool. You can search and stream anything from YouTube. Of course YouTube's video quality isn't the best, but it's convenient if you want to show everyone a video without having to crowd around a little computer screen. Push the green button and it pops into full screen. Both the Picasa app and the Flikr app are also good for streaming your pictures without having to connect another component. 

The Yahoo Widgets is also a pretty cool little gadget as well. If you want to check the weather real quick or look at the top headlines, it comes in handy. There may be some issues with this device however. When I first got the set, the Widgets worked fine, then about a week later I pushed the Widget button on the remote and nothing happened. It was dead. Everything else on the TV worked fine, including the NetCast feature so I was debating if I even wanted to get it serviced. I decided I would and called LG. Their customer service was excellent. They sent a service van out about 3 days later and the guy called ahead of time to make sure I was there. He was on time and only took a few minutes to determine that the main board needed replacing. I again had to decide if it was even worth it. He said it's a simple process and only would take a few minutes so I had him order the board last Friday. He showed up again yesterday with the board, helped me take the TV off the wall, unscrewed about 15 screws, replaced the board then screwed everything in. Helped me hang it back up, and all is fine. 

Even with the Widget issue, I'm giving the TV 5 stars. As with any product, there are bound to be occasional issues with individual items. Since the TV was still under warranty I paid nothing and the fix was extremely easy. In fact should something happen in the future and the TV is no longer under warranty, I will try to find a board myself and replace it. 

Considering the picture quality and features this set has all for $1000.00, this is a no brainer. Highly recommended.

Great TV

Best TV I could find for around $1000. I still can't believe I got a TV this nice for the price I paid. The picture isn't as nice as some of the Samsung LED backlit LCD's that cost 3 times as much, but I'm fine with that. 

It looks great mounted on the wall. The bezel isn't thin, but it blends in very nicely with the rest of the TV because the screen glass covers it. 

The sound is very good from the built in speakers. Really clear at low volume. 

TV itself is very thin. 

Inputs are reachable even after mounting it on the wall with a low profile tilting mount. 

Netcast stuff works great (using wired ethernet). It's really nice to have Netflix so easily accessible, and YouTube is fun to play around with. Unfortunately, Pandora is only available on the LG BluRay Player, so you'll have to switch inputs to get your music. 

I am 100% satisfied with this TV.

Great overall plasma in a slick design

Got this TV for my parents a few weeks ago. No issues so far. THX is overrated; we've been viewing in the "Vivid" or "Sports" mode. The menu UI is great. A great feature that my parents appreciate is that the menu language can be changed to Korean. The TV played MKV-files without a hitch straight from my thumb drive. The design is really slick with just one flat plane of glass - eliminating edges and corners where dust can accumulate.

I originally wanted a Panasonic wireless but after reading several reviews and found a very low price i took the chance and what a WINNER I was when I received it! Very happy with it! I got it even cheaper than the Panasonic P42G25. The only "negative"side is the lack of the wireless dongle that you must purchase apart, but this seems to be a general policy among top TV brand names. Definitely I recommend it!
